Thank you to all Gordonians who participated in our recent vote and to those who attended our AGM. At the Gordonian Association AGM held on Saturday 29th June, those present voted unanimously to accept the results of the Gordonian vote held during May - June 2019 in respect of the dissolution of the current Association. The results of this Gordonian vote was to accept the Committee’s recommendation to dissolve the Association by 78 to 13 votes. As a result, the process has started to transfer the administration of the Gordonian Community to The Gordon Foundation and to set up the proposed ring-fenced fund. A designated Gordonian Officer will remain as part of the Development Office team and little, if anything, will change for Gordonians. It was agreed during the AGM, that the current Committee remain in place temporarily to oversee the transfer and to finalise the creation of the ring-fenced fund and associated Advisory Panel with a completion date no later than 31st August 2019. More details will be communicated to Gordonians as and when these changes are finalised.
